Named after a character in the Paul Newman film, Cool Hand Luke, Boss Caine is the long-running, ever-changing, Busk@Dusk-hosting, Sundown Sessions-curating, perma-gigging, genre-blending musical vehicle of prolific singer songwriter, Daniel Lucas. Sometimes solo in acoustic songwriter mode, sometimes accompanied by strings. Sometimes a full swinging country rock and roll band with a brass section, sometimes anything in between. His laid back and heartfelt delivery of lyrics lend themselves to being pulled in different directions depending on the nature of the accompanying instruments and the stage they’re performed on. Lucas’ signature baritone at the heart of it all. He’s already performed well over 2000 shows along the way, varying from tiny house concerts and pub/bar gigs to major festivals, tour supports with Ginger Wildheart and The Sinners, Beans On Toast, and Shooter Jennings, and multiple shows with Simone Felice, Justin Townes Earle, Sam Baker, and Otis Gibbs.
